Great sites with expansive views demand unique solutions, connection with the land and entertaining opportunities for this family was high on the agenda to achieve their dream design.

Inspired by the rustic vibes planned for the interior and the request for ‘bath with a view’ this layout responded to family dynamics with parents and teenagers’ wings separated yet still connected by living spaces aligned to the coastline.  

Site exposure along with an outdoor fire request resulted in a covered sitting area recessed into the envelope which has become a much-used living space with unrestricted views of the ocean all year round.
